Dixie Chicks Shut Up And Sing To New Fans
The Dixie Chicks, sisters Martie Maguire, fiddle, Emily Robison, banjo, and Natalie Maines, guitar, have been picking the country music audience's heart strings for over a decade now and had built up a growing fan base. A career in Country Music can last a lifetime as fan's children grow up with the music and it's classic themes.
All the hard work was put at risk when the ladies were in London for a concert and an emotional remark to the audience by Natalie Maines was repeated by the broadcast, print and Internet media. It became the remark heard around the world as a few listeners called their local Country Music radio stations and threatened a boycott of the local advertisers if the Dixie Chicks songs continued to be played.
The ladies latest concert tour was also a concern; what if ticket sales were not enough to fill the auditoriums?
Radio stations that play for other audiences than Country Music picked up the The Dixie Chicks new CD and saved the day. New fans joined the majority of the previous fans that chose to stay with the group through the bad old days and went to the concerts.

The Devil Wears Prada: Affects Love-Life
You know you are in deep relationship when you find yourself at a screening of The Devil Wears Prada a 20th Century Fox film directed by David Frankel. This script was adapted from the novel The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger. This book was a barely disguised narrative of Ms. Weisberger's year as an assistant to the editor of Vogue Magazine, the world's premier fashion authority. The costume designer on this film was Patricia Field who is known for her trend-setting on television's hit Sex and the City. The make-up was provided by Dior, Prada and Sephoria, explaining why everybody looks so fabulous.
The move to digital production and the future adoption of digital screening will create more employment opportunities for Make-Up Artists. Joe Blasco has opened professional Make-Up Artist training centers in Orlando, Florida , and of course, in Hollywood.
Meryl Streep plays "Runway Magazine's" editor Miranda Priestly who's demands on Andy Sachs' , played so well by Anne Hathaway, is affecting her relationship with her boyfriend, Nate, working through one crisis after another.
I was skepticial about sitting-through The Devil Wears Prada because the return of a marvelous superhero was playing at the same time, and as we all know from the first-period physics class we slept through, you cannot be in two screenings at the same time; you have to choose.
Meryl Streep is just great in the role of the editor, Miranda Priestly. This was a entertaining and enlightening film, it also illustrated the effects of a demanding job on the worker's relationship.
